I was referred to the Neptune Society Cremation Service by a friend, and I used them to preplan cremation. Once my beloved passed away, the Neptune Society already had much of the information they needed and handled everything quickly and efficiently. Michelle Rischmiller, Funeral Director, was top-notch, very kind and caring, and made the whole process bearable. I highly recommend them.

My parents had already chosen Neptune Society and I felt it was a very kind, personalized experience. I lost my parents only a few weeks apart and the emotions shared were real and warm. They truly took care of everything. I would highly recommend their services.

We had not pre-planned anything despite my husband being a hospice patient. Neptune Society was essentially a call made in the middle of the night. what a lucky connection. Everyone was so warm and comforting. I felt very supported. I was not pressured into any particular decision. I was incredibly impressed!

I was very grateful for Neptune. Michelle was so kind, thoughtful, and patient with me during such a difficult time. She was very prompt in answering all my questions and did an excellent job helping me with the obituary. It has been so easy and wonderful to work with Neptune Society of MN since we signed up in July 2012, until the death of my fiancé` in June 2020. They have been compassionate, helpful, and detailed in letting me know the next steps and time frame to expect his remains and death certificate. When I had so many items to take care of with his long illness, it was a relief to know they were on my side in this time of sorrow. They have been so caring and patient with my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Neptune Society of MN. On a personal level, I worked with Michelle in the Golden Valley office and she was like a loving family member.

Shannon was amazing in helping our family with the unexpected passing of my father. She not only helped guide us through the proceeds and was such a gentle and supportive person for us during and after everything was finalized. My experience with Neptune Society was stress-free and personable. I really appreciate how professional, thorough, and sincere my brother and I were treated. They made a lasting impression and I would recommend their services to anyone who needs them.

Shannon was a beacon of light during some of the darkest days of my life after losing my mom unexpectedly. She was very warm and kind, responded promptly to emails and calls, was professional, and really helped us honor my mom and her life. I was out of town when my mom died and even though she wasn’t embalmed due to being cremated, they made my mom look natural and beautiful – exactly like herself – so I could say good-bye.  This wasn’t part of the original plan so it was extra special that they were able to do this so I could see her one last time. Shannon was very organized and did a great job walking us through many tasks both in preparation of the memorial as well as tasks that needed attention afterward. The memorial keepsakes are lovely, too. I am grateful our family had such a positive, easy experience during such a tragic time.

Both of my parents passed within the last year, so I found myself dealing with the Neptune Society twice within 11 months. Both times the staff was kind, caring, empathetic and very helpful with advising me with the things I needed to think about, things I needed to take care of, and them taking care of things for me where they could. They made this very difficult situation so much easier. I truly cannot thank them enough for all of their help and I would highly recommend the Neptune Society to anyone thinking of cremation.

WOW is the best way to put it simply. The service Shannon and Neptune provided after my mother passed away last month was absolutely amazing. They took care of everything. I just had to give a little more information which was very easy and they did everything else. My husband and I are definitely going to sign up with Neptune. I am very grateful that my mother signed up with Neptune years ago.

Laura was an excellent resource and a great comfort for me and my brother. She communicated efficiently and with kindness. She reached out by both email and phone when she had information to share. We appreciated the great service and support provided by Laura and the Neptune Society.

When we put my mother-in-law in the hospice, we knew she was gonna be cremated. We were given some options of who we should be looking into so I researched them online and thought Neptune Society was the best fit. They were very reasonable for their cost and very genuine. We met with an RN from the facility and then the main gal, and they were very nice and concerned. Even after we went with them, they contacted me a couple of times. I had a really good experience with the gal who sold it to us. I actually knew her sister, which was ironic, ’cause I had no idea until I was looking at her. She was very sweet and she laid everything out for me. I also had all my questions set out for her so it worked well.

Absolutely amazing service from the first phone call to when I received the remains. Laura ** I can’t thank you enough for your timely emails and constantly follow thru. As my only point of contact, you helped me navigate and make decisions effectively and relived the stress of knowing what all needed to be done. My family and I can’t thank you enough. My Dad was quite a character and would have certainly approved with a “Good Job” thumbs up!

I had a great experience with Neptune. My father had pre-purchased a cremation agreement and the Neptune team is 100% professional, caring, empathetic, wonderful. Neptune is a great place to go if you want to pre-plan or go for your loved one’s cremation.

Abby was so helpful throughout the whole process.  She was quick to respond to emails as I live in California and my father passed away in Minnesota.  She made a confusing and upsetting process easier, even when still taking care of the final touches 6 months later!  Thank you thank you

We were not thrilled with our Mother’s funeral arrangements made when she lived in Arizona–especially since she now lived in Minnesota. She died at 95 and has some serious dementia so we wondered if this was all a scam. and from the first phone call to the final request for authorization statements for the County, Laura, and the Neptune Society team have been right there. They went out of their way to speak with siblings in Pennsylvania who had concerns about my Mother’s final resting place and how this would be handled.We experienced excellent communication, compassion, and real professionalism through the whole process of burying my Mom. I

My father unexpectedly passed away. We were in the hospital and didn’t know what we were going to do. My mother had made arrangements independently for herself. We went to my mother’s paperwork and found out who she used. I contacted the Neptune Society in California. And then they directed me to Golden Valley branch and from that moment on, Sara told me what I needed to do. We came in the next day. And she guided us from start to finish through the process. We couldn’t have been happier with everything that she did for us. Every single thing that she did for us made the process as smooth and as easy as could possibly be. I’ve already recommended it to people within my family to plan ahead themselves and to call Sara if they have any questions or needs. It’s also an affordable option.

My parents subscribed to Neptune Society many years ago, and they gave me the phone number and said, “Here’s where you call.” They originally set this up with Neptune’s office down in San Antonio, Texas, when they lived down there. When they moved up here, they checked in advance with the local office here to make sure they had a record of this arrangement, and they did. My parents had it all pre-setup and there was one piece of paper that had to be different from Minnesota and they got that taken care of, and the Neptune team was very helpful in setting up the deal that my parents had over at the DVA Cemetery at Fort Snelling.

Both of my parents passed away, and Neptune Society was the smoothest part to manage. Neptune Society met every expectation, and the people were very prompt and friendly. I went over to their office and they had everything all set, and that worked very well. In both cases, I made the phone call and they had a person over there quick to pick up the ashes, and that person at the Valley office was very understanding and meticulous in making arrangements. I transported my parents’ remains to the DVA Cemetery myself as I wanted to do that. Neptune Society had things lined up on both sides and I just carried the remains over and gave it to them, and then they took it from there. There’s a lot that goes on when someone dies, and it’s nice to have a card with a number that you just call, and then they take care of it. But, if you would bother to pre-arrange, just pick up the Yellow Pages.

My father passed away unexpectedly and had made no previous arrangements.
I contacted Neptune Society while at the hospital and Sara Anderson with the Golden Valley Branch could not have been more helpful from start to finish.
This process is difficult enough to go through and the professionalism and thoughtfulness that Sara Anderson and her staff showed us was extremely helpful and very much appreciated.

My brother recently passed away and had a pre-arranged plan from a company in CA, where he used to live. Laura was extremely helpful in making the arrangements to have his cremation done here. Any questions were answered immediately and the whole process went very smoothly. Thank you, Laura.

Great coverage. We prearranged for my mom and dad and this was one of the few companies who offer coverage anywhere in the world. Because our parents like to take cruises and spend some time in Arizona each year, this seemed to be the best choice. Representative was very friendly and paperwork was pretty straightforward. Also like that they lock in prices.

My mother passed away rather suddenly, and I had to rush from Seattle to the Twin Cities to make arrangements. I was upset and overwhelmed in those moments. Abby at Neptune was responsive, thorough and attentive. She did not pressure me to make extraneous decisions and seemed concerned about my well-being. My dear 92 year old Mother passed away a few months ago … she was a Neptune member. When my Mother moved into hospice she asked me to reached out to Neptune in Golden Valley, MN to make sure as a WWII Vet that she could be buried at the Ft Snelling National Cemetery with my Dad (also WWII Vet who passed 20+ years ago). I reached out to Laura Anderson, Funeral Director … she couldn’t have been more helpful, sensitive and professional. She provided me with the VA forms needed when my Mother would pass to be buried at the same site as my Dad – she provided me with the list of documents needed etc. She also advised me how to coordinate with the hospice and Neptune upon my Mother’s passing. A few weeks later my Mother did pass … I contacted Laura. Her team handled a timely and sensitive pickup of my Mother and immediately coordinated with the Veterans Administration regarding a burial date and ‘Full Military Honor’ services (21 gun salute, flag service, etc). Net-net everything went extremely well … the fine work Laura Anderson and her team did to handle my Mother’s last wishes did not go unnoticed by our family. Highly recommend Neptune!

I just met with a Representative (Shannon) to establish a Prearranged Cremation Trust. Shannon was professional, thorough, knowledgeable, courteous and came to my home to do all the necessary paperwork. As a Clinical Social Worker, I have experienced families in crisis when dealing with the death of a parent (s) and not knowing their wishes for services. As a single woman of four adult children, I feel good and fortunate that together with Shannon and my children, a Trust has been established and in place and that Neptune Society will be there for my four children, at the time of my death.

No nonsense. Professional, accommodating, flexible and reasonable. Pricing is very well explained, no pushing. We needed to send ashes oversees (former Soviet Union) to bury there, and Laura was a huge help throughout the process – speaking with embassy, preparing documents etc. Couldn’t have done it without her.
