Neptune Society educates veterans about the benefits they could receive by preplanning affordable cremation services in Orlando, FL.
Supporting America’s veterans is a huge responsibility, so from June 29th to July 2nd, representatives from Neptune Society spoke with veterans about the importance of preplanning and how a cremation society can help them to ensure their future and receive important veteran benefits.
The 2017 American Legion Department of Florida Convention was hosted at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL and approximately 3,000 members of the American Legion and their loved ones attended. The convention serves as an annual opportunity for American Legion members to “exchange new ideas and reunite as a family,” as it states on their website. Members were also able to elect leaders for the next year, participate in a color guard competition, and register for classes.
Neptune Society managed a table as a vendor guest at the conference, allowing representatives from local offices to speak with veterans about their needs and wishes. Service manager TJ Bennet from Neptune Society in Orlando was able to provide localized guidance for veterans with questions. Marketing Analyst Oliver Fernandes from the Neptune Society Plantation Headquarters was also present to explain the benefits of preplanning and how to get started with one’s own cremation plans.
Fernandes said, “We hope to reinforce our position as a proud American Legion sponsor and create a sense of bonding and long-term relations between Neptune Society and American Legion members.”
In addition to providing guidance and advice on preplanning through their representatives, Neptune Society also offered a variety of brochures, including one that detailed ten facts about burial and cremation benefits for veterans. They also gifted pens, magnets, and hand towels to interested veterans. Then, on July 1st, they held a free drawing for a 43″ flat screen TV to a lucky veteran who had visited them.
Neptune Society has a host of information about veterans benefits and services with more being added in the future. They also provide information about other aspects of the cremation process, the funeral industry, and how to talk to loved ones about planning for one’s own cremation services.
