Author Pamela Skjolsvik will be showcasing her new book “Death Becomes Us” at the Neptune Society Ft. Worth, TX office. Doors will open Nov. 1 at 1 PM and the event will begin at 3 PM.
“Death Becomes Us” will be released on Amazon Nov. 13, and is able for pre-order now. The event will take place at the Neptune Society of Ft. Worth’s location at 4101 Airport Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76117.
The book launch will include a reading of multiple excerpts from “Death Becomes Us,” a memoir about the funeral industry and the process of confronting the inevitability of death. What started as a graduate thesis evolved into a journey to learn about those who faced death every day from embalmers to death-row inmates.
“I learned how important it is to talk about death,” Skjolsvik said.
A Q&A session will occur after the readings for those who would like more information about “Death Becomes Us” or the process that created it. Door prizes will include an Amazon Fire tablet and an art book created by Skjolsvik. Refreshments will be provided throughout the event as well.
